Come to Madrid with the whole family. We are pet-friendly

Madrid is an ideal city to discover with the family. Beyond its most iconic elements such as Major Square, the Gran Vía or the Retiro Park, it is enough to spend an afternoon strolling through the city to be enthralled by its beauty. Its great gastronomic and cultural offer make it perfect to visit with the little ones.

However, the family is not always complete during the holidays: there are many destinations that are not pet friendly, that is, they are not suitable for travelling with pets. Fortunately, Madrid is a city fully adapted so that your dogs can accompany you on your long-awaited holidays and tour the city with you.

Pet friendly places in Madrid

The capital is a city full of parks and green areas to walk with your four-legged friend and to enjoy with the whole family. These are some of them that you cannot miss:

- Temple of Debod area. This imposing Egyptian temple dates back to the 2nd century BC, and is located in Cuartel de la Montaña Park, very close to Spain Square. It is located on top of a site where the Cuartel de la Montaña was, a military barracks on the mountain of Pío Prince, where the French troops shot the rebels of the uprising on May 2, 1808, a scene that Goya later portrayed. Today, this temple is one of the most visited points in Madrid, and an ideal place to walk with your dog.
- Retiro Park. The green lung of Madrid is the Retiro Park, a 118-hectare park where you can walk with your pet. It has a large fenced canine area where you can leave your dog loose, which has grass and vegetation for the hottest days. Also, this area has benches for resting and numerous fountains so that your pet does not go thirsty at any time.
- Casa de Campo. This is the largest public park in Madrid. With 1,722 hectares, it has many areas where you can walk with the whole family, the Huerta de la Partida being one of the areas most frequented by dogs and their families. In summer, they can go loose until 10 in the morning and from 20 in the afternoon. Can you think of a better plan to enjoy nature while avoiding the heat?

Pet-friendly hotel in Madrid

All these plans could not be made if there were no pet friendly hotel options in Madrid. Fortunately, Hotel Victoria 4 Puerta del Sol, located right in the center next to the emblematic Puerta del Sol, has 52 spacious and well-equipped rooms with a maximum capacity of four people, and that allow pets.

Book your stay and enjoy a unique holiday with the whole family. We wait for you!
